On Sunday, June 27th  Marc Gould, a painter and sculptor, severely burned both hands, arms, stomach and face in a horrible oil fire accident on Mt. Hamilton. He was in intensive care for two and a half weeks and is now out of the hospital in recovery in Oakland, where he is beginning the long process of physical therapy rehabilitation.

Marc is healing well and has maintained his high spirits throughout this ordeal. We are all pulling for his full recovery, and although it will  be a long process, things are going well.

On Friday Aug. 6th from 6-10 at The Mill Gallery at 131 front St. in Santa Cruz, the community is hosting a Benefit/art show to raise funds for Marc's recovery. There will be live music, raffle and a full exhibit of marks artwork.

Any support is welcome, all funds raised go directly towards his recovery and medical expenses. Marc will be unable to work for the next year at least because of the severity of his burns, so he needs all the support he can get.
